Lucrezia's request

Lucrezia, a hip-hop dancer I met while working as a photographer for Milan's Acquatica water park, came back to me with a delightful request: to create a special gift for her boyfriend for Valentine's Day.

It had to be a photo shoot with a dual purpose: to enrich her personal portfolio and to create a calendar of increasingly sexy photos to give to her partner.

However, I didn't want it to be a tacky gift, but something refined and elegant, albeit explicit, and Lucrezia agreed. The challenge was to combine sensuality with eroticism, but in an artistic way, remaining in the realm of the elegant and refined: I couldn't have asked for anything better!

From Glamour to Nude

I set up the studio in an extremely minimalist way: a small armchair, a black backdrop to play with aggressive lighting that would enhance her curves while Lucrezia dressed in fashionable clothes that enhanced her figure.

The dynamic and fluid poses assumed by the model, inspired by the Latin dances she was an expert in (Lucrezia is now a dance teacher), highlighted her grace and talent, creating glamorous images that expressed her passion for dance.

Gradually, we moved towards artistic nudes, moving from lingerie, sheer robes, and sensual accessories, while always maintaining a respectful and artistic approach.

The Importance of Lighting

For the fashion and glamour shots, we used brighter, more diffused lighting to highlight Lucrezia's beauty and elegance. When we moved on to artistic nudes, the use of harsh split lighting was essential to create a natural chiaroscuro effect, concealing and hiding the model's private parts in an elegant but evocative way, with a subtle game of peek-a-boo that would surely have teased her partner's imagination.

To conclude the set, the final photo had to be extremely evocative and intense. Lucrezia was in favor of an explicit nude, but I was a little intimidated by breaking a taboo. Then I had an idea: we had a very realistic rose, and some time before I had experimented with bodyscape.

This set is unique in that it includes a very rare case in which I took a risk by photographing an explicit nude, but the result was extremely well received by both Lucrezia and her partner.
